Since 2023 I have served as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for 4D04, taught courses on US Conservation History at the Natural History Field Studies program of Nature Forward, served as Vice President of the Barnard Elementary School Parent Teachers Association, and served as Conservation Chair and on the Executive Committee of the DC Sierra Club.
From July 2016 – July 2023 I was Director of Conservation at Nature Forward, serving the greater Washington, DC region through environmental policy, advocacy, outreach, and stewardship. I then served as the co-chair of Naturally Latinos Conference 2024.
Prior to joining Nature Forward, I spent five years at Defenders of Wildlife, analyzing federal projects and policies that touched upon a broad range of renewable energy, land management, and wildlife conservation issues. Before working in environmental policy, I was an environmental and outdoor educator in Maryland, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Oregon. I am a Senior Fellow (class of 2013) in the Environmental Leadership Program’s Chesapeake Regional Network.
